The timeless art of storytelling is old fashioned magic that will enchant young and old alike. What makes our program truly special is our storytelling ensemble. We provide actors and storytellers who work together to energize and tantalize the audience!
Our storytelling program is incredibly versatile:
- No minimum or maximum number of participants
- Flexible timing up to two hours
- No age restrictions
- No specific staging requirements
- Attractive pricing
Each show is uniquely suited to fit your particular needs. Our stories and songs are chosen to fit the age of the group, season of the year, and time available. For instance, a program for K -2nd graders in June would be very different from a Family Fright Night in October!
Here is a sample of an ensemble based story:
The Monkeys Go Fasting
CAST: Old Monkey, Young Monkey, Middle Monkey
(Old Monkey introduces this and explains what a fast is. During the explanation the other two monkeys set three bananas in various places around the room and then returns to the front.)
As you know, today we will be fasting! But before we begin, I think we should keep the food with which we’ll break the fast ready.
Like breakfast? When we break the fast? Yes, yes, yes!
What should we prepare? What would be the perfect food to eat when we’re starving and it’s finally time to eat again?
(All three monkeys go hunting through the audience and around the room to find their bananas, asking the audient if they’ve seen any, getting excited when they find them, and moving back to the front. They set their bananas in a small basket near the front.)
There! Now the bananas will be ready for when we’ve completed our fast. Let us begin!
Wait! I think each of us should keep our bananas with us. That way, we don’t have to spend time handing them out when our fast is over!
Oooooh, good idea! Cause you can just imagine how hungry we all will be by then!
(The monkeys agree, and Middle Monkey picks up the basket and hands the bananas out.)
All right, now we’ll be fully prepared when our fast is over, so we won’t even have to think about food! Are we ready to begin?
Wait, wait! Can we pleeeeeeease just peel our bananas? Then we will really be ready to eat!
Yes, that seems reasonable!
All right, we shall peel the bananas, but under no condition should we eat them.
Of course not.
(The monkeys eagerly peel their bananas, placing the peels in the basket and holding their bananas.)
There, now we must be careful to guard our bananas so they can be eaten on the morning when we break our fast.
Oooooh, you know how we can keep our bananas perfectly safe? What if we keep them in our mouths?
Yes, then we’ll be sure not to drop them on the ground.
Well, all right! That way, we can chew them immediately as soon as our fast is over. As long as we don’t eat them, it should be fine. Now, finally, let us begin our fast!
(All three monkeys put their bananas in their mouths and drop their hands with the banana hanging from their mouths. They eye one another uncomfortably for about five seconds … and then cram the bananas in their mouths and eat them as fast and as noisily as possible.)
Mmmm, that fast tasted much better than yesterday’s.
What should we fast from tomorrow?
